A Member Is Rewarded
Congratulations go out to Mark Kwiatkowski! At the Professional Photographers of North Carolina’s Carolina Photo Expo, Mark received an honorable mention in the wildlife category for the picture titled “Eye on the Prize”.
Mark consistently turns out great wildlife pictures. We are glad to have him as a club member.

Out annual awards night once again coincided with Valentines Day but faithful members gathered to celebrate the past years most deserving photographers. So here they are.
Kars for Kids Charity Car Show
Members of the club took part in photographing the Wake Forest Optimist Club’s annual Kars for Kids Charity Car Show. Select photos will be given to the Optimist club to document and promote the event. Thanks to all who participated.

Awards Night!
We celebrated the evening with food, friendship, and conversation as we viewed the winning photos of the past year and awarded the top photographers and the Bob Allen Award winner..
A Member Gets Published!
Congratulations to Ian Slade who had a photo published in Carolina Country magazine! His photo of a tractor in diffuse light is a winner.
Congratulations Mike!
The Professional Photographers of North Carolina awarded Mike Aliff the Associate Fellow of Photography and the Fellow of Photography Degrees at the annual meeting, August 2 nd . The Associate Fellow Degree is awarded for 35 credits; the Fellow of Photography Degree is awarded for 50 credits. Credits are earned in the areas of print, service, and education.
Back at The Forks!
Tuesday, May 11th was a great day for the club. We resumed our physical meetings after more than a year meeting virtually. 17 members participated in the print competition for the “abstract” theme and our judge Chris Ogden gave us many learning points in a fun evening. Thanks to owner David Greenwell and his staff at The Forks Cafeteria for the warm welcome back. We hope to see more of our members next month. If you are not yet a member, come join us.

On February 9th the club held it’s annual awards night. Despite the event being virtual, the members had a good time chatting. laughing, and enjoying reviewing the winning photos from the past year.

A Thank You
On October 27th the club presented David Greenwell and The Forks Cafeteria with a small financial donation in appreciation of their support of the club. We expressed our hope that we will be able to return to our physical meetings at The Forks as soon as practical. We hope the gift will help make their day a bit brighter.

Member Showcased on Social Media
Mark Kwiatkowski was highlighted on Twitter by WRAL TV Weather for his wonderful photograph of Kerr Lake at sunset. Mark was the 1st Runner Up in our annual photo competition for 2019 and he continues to hone his skills and instincts to make superior photographs. Congratulations Mark!

Holiday Party
We kicked off the season with our Holiday Party featuring sweet treats and a review of members’ photo submissions from the annual “Scavenger Hunt”. It is always a pleasure to get together for some social time. Happy Holidays!
Second Annual Picnic
The club held its annual picnic on October 12th once again at the home of our gracious hosts - Cyndi and Donnie Savage. Good food and and friendship was plentiful. Thanks you two!

Member Wade Brooks was the Photofocus.com Photographer of the Day on September 16th. His “Hunt Library in Black & White” was chosen as a standout image. Congratulations Wade!
Nancy Arehart's Exhibit
Nancy Arehart’s Exhibit and Artist Greet at Maude’s Garden & Coffee in North Raleigh opened with two standing room only nights to start a multi week run in August. Congratulation’s Nancy! Incredible photos!
Members photograph the Wake Forest Charity Car Show
